Bell Rope

The Bible, in the words your church has always read.

Bell Rope makes one app for each tradition: its Bible, together with its own prayers, hymns, confessions and reading plans. Free, with no account, and everything inside the app, so it works with the phone in airplane mode.

The appsSupport

What is inside every app

Three things, and nothing that needs a signal.

The Bible

A complete edition the tradition itself has read for generations, set for reading: paragraphs, poetry as poetry, the words of Christ in red where the tradition prints them, search that understands English, and notes and highlights kept on your own device.

The tradition's own

Its catechism or confession, its liturgy or prayer book, its hymnal, and its prayers by occasion. Texts as they were printed, each with its author and year.

Reading plans

The whole Bible in a year, shaped the way that tradition reads it, and shorter plans for its seasons, its psalms and its own documents. Progress stays on the device.

Thirteen traditions, thirteen apps

Each one is built for the people who read that way, from the texts they already trust.

How they are made

Printed texts, not paraphrases

Every document, hymn and prayer is a public-domain printing, transcribed and proofread against the page. Nothing is reworded.

Nothing leaves the phone

No account, no analytics, no server. What you write in the app stays in the app.

Independent

The apps are not published by, affiliated with, or endorsed by any denomination, convention, synod or church body.
